In March 2010, the Jugendstilverein or Art Nouveau Society of Bad Nauheim became a member of the Art Nouveau European Route.
The society is a private institution set up in 1997 for the purpose of maintaining and preserving the Sprudelhof spa complex (1905-1911) designed by architect Wilhelm Jost. It now has over 400 members and is in the process of opening a Jugendstilzentrum, or Art Nouveau Centre, in one of the spa buildings.
