Núñez i Navarro

The Casa Lleó Morera (1903 -1905) was the most sumptuous building that Domènech i Montaner designed in Barcelona. Its corner location creates a unique look and Domènech designed it with spacious open rooms facing the street and large glass-covered galleries facing an interior courtyard. Both the house's finishings and façade are highlighted by some excellent applied and decorative art work carried out by Domènech's usual collaborators: the decorator Gaspar Homar, sculptor Eusebi Arnau, mosaic artist Lluís Bru and the Rigalt & Granell stained glass studio, amongst others.

The lower half of the house was renovated in 1943 by Duran i Reynals and, despite the quality of the design, this resulted in an unfortunate mutilation of the whole. The lantern that crowned the building was also removed. Oscar Tusquets and Carles Díaz restored the façade in 1988, returning it partly to its original look. In 2006, the ownership of the building passed from the Planeta publishing group to the real estate company Núñez i Navarro.
